The spark machine electrode must be used for finishing and polishing, and the defects must not have traces, otherwise the defects will be copied to the surface of the workpiece, but the surface of the electrode is not required to reach the mirror.
In general, the dimension scale side of the mirror-finished electrode is 0.2-0.05mm, and the dimension scale side of the finishing electrode is 0.1mm. When the processing area is small, it can be smaller. When the profiling accuracy is higher, it can be smaller. When the powder is mixed, it can be larger. If the release amount added to the electrode is too small, the working speed will be reduced.
The precision CNC spark machine tool uses multi-electrode mirror EDM. This requires multiple electrodes to have good consistency, high manufacturing accuracy, repeated clamping for electrode replacement, and high positioning accuracy. Under normal circumstances, when high-speed milling electrodes are manufactured, the reference ball measurement positioning method is adopted, and the 3r rapid clamping positioning system is used for repeated positioning and other processes to meet the requirements.
